Hello, I'm AziM.
I'm Azimul Kabir Apu, a banking professional from Bangladesh with an academic background in Finance and Accounting & Finance. I work at Sammilito Islami Bank PLC, where my career has gone from branch banking and credit operations to management information systems and regulatory reporting at head office.
Outside work I build software. My main project is Actua, an open-source Android client for Actual Budget. I also run a small home server, where I self-host music, photos and a few tools I wrote for myself and my family.
Lately I've been using AI as part of how I build and maintain software, and experimenting with running models locally. I write about what I learn in the Lab.
Away from the keyboard I enjoy photography, music, and finding better ways to organise everyday life.
